SANI preserves Surinamese culture and heritage by educating our community, giving back, creating spaces to gather, and honoring those who carry our legacy forward.

We believe culture does not preserve itself. It takes intentional people, intentional spaces, and intentional action to keep it alive across generations and across borders. That is what we do — and that is why we exist.

EDUCATE

We preserve Surinamese culture by teaching it — the history, the food, the stories, and the resources that keep our heritage alive and accessible.

GIVE

We give back in multiple ways and invite others to give with us — humanitarian support, partnerships, mission trips, and programs that strengthen Suriname and the diaspora.

GATHER

We create spaces — physical and communal — where the culture lives out loud. Suriname Day, Legacy Night, and cultural showcases all live here.

HONOR

We recognize the people actively carrying the culture forward — awards, honorees, and the living archive of everything SANI has built.
